Making Sense of the Kagandahan Concept

Hey Pretty!

Yes, you, the one reading this!

Bakit di ka makapaniwala?

You are indeed beautiful!

To be frank, minsan insecure ako: bakit hindi ako maputi, bakit hindi pang model ang aking height, bakit sensitive ang aking skin, bakit wavy lagi ang akin hair, at iba pang mga bakit.

Maybe that's the reason why I don't like Barbie (the doll). Haha.

She is so perfect...the body shape, that long blonde hair, a cute boyfriend and a sexy crew.

I know maraming nakakarelate.

Hahaha.

Ung Ate na binilihan ko tinanong ulet ako after a few weeks kung order daw ba ulet. Kako meron pa. Sabi nya, talaga, di mo ginagamit? At the back of my head, I was thinking, ummm, ano ba tong lotion na ito, pinapahid or iniinom...Nakakalimutan ko din kasi. Adik ako sa lotion and my husband can attest to that. Un nga lang na-dry ang aking sensitive skin when I used this one. But am trying to finish it off.

The funny thing is we try so hard to be white and ung mga iba gustong gusto ang kulay kayumanggi at ilang oras nagbibilad to achieve our glow.

Pag nasa mall ka, ung suot lagi ng manekin ang gaganda parang bagay sa yo.

They seem to be whispering "Buy me", "Take me home with yah!".

Anyways, graduate and nakamove on na ko dyan. Last week lang ulet ako nakatuntong sa mall.

Yes, at nakapagmall tour ako. Hahaha.

Ung basics lang binili ko: flats kasi lagi lang ako nagstairs pag pumapasok ako (pa-health buff kuno); ilang shirts that I can pair off with slacks or jeans and a bit of make up (di man halata, mahilig po ako sa make up, so alam nyo na what to get me for Eid).

Pati ung ibang mga models and artista minsan exaggerated naman na (I have to mention na hindi naman lahat, kasi meron na kahit walang makeup and pagsuotin mo ng white shirt and jeans plus tsinelas ay maganda pa din).

May kung anu-ano na treatments to keep them pretty...kung sa bagay, that is part of their job, to always look flawless.

Kaya minsan gusto din natin na ganun. Kaya lang di naman tayo artista?

I do exert effort to look presentable but is that all?

It pays off when you always look "good", kagalang-galang ika nga.

But you don't always have to break the bank just to have that bag.

You can also check the tons of DIY beauty tips online, medyo napupuyat ako ngayon sa Pinterest, most of the things there are found in your kitchen/pantry.

Buy during the sale season and try to have it ordered online. Kasi pupusta ako, pag sa mall ka pa pumunta for sure may mabibili ka na di mo talaga kelangan.

Of course, when you look good, you do feel good but come to think of it, the same thing applies if you do good things to others di ba?

Do a good deed every day. Especially kung bad trip ka and when nothing seems to work out right.

It will lighten up your burden.

When you know that you did something really extraordinarily good, people can see that "shine".

Every one is beautiful in their own, unique way. May kanya-kanya tayong ganda.

Just make sure na di lang ang panlabas ang kagandahan, pati ugali din.

Recently, I finally realized, it pays off to have a good, beautiful heart and from there I gained back my confidence.

Do good things.

Disregard the insecurities.

Love your own skin.

You are beautiful!
