A Touching Post...for an OFW

I am officially on my 5th year as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

Yay!

It was quite fast but I barely felt it.

I had worked in two companies, had spoken to lots of angry customers, met them face to face, found new friends and said "See you soon" to some.

Work is fine and most of the times stressful but nonetheless, I had managed to stay this long!

There were times when I was about to give up but maybe God has a plan for me here and He had found ways for me to stay.

At the moment, I cannot say that I can already go back home and stay there for good.

I am still way far from my target but I know I will get there soon.

Being an OFW is not as easy as it looks.

I was tearful when I read a post from a friend.

Sorry, as I am really a crybaby.

These are tears of joy - because it's so nice if you feel appreciated and respected.

Here it is, Love Letter to Filipinos.

Mabuhay ang mga OFWs!

I Love My Job...

It's my off today but I dropped by the office still for about an hour as I cannot seem to attach the list that our team should work on.

The girls are saying that I could have emailed it but I don't know what happened so they cannot open the files that I had sent.

I was chatting with a friend and checking on how her baby is since she was rushed to the hospital, Thanks God, she is better now, when she said that she can afford to lose her job for the sake of her baby.

I think most of us will do the same.

I came across this post from a friend and it was indeed true (at least based from my experience).

Sometimes, it's not only about the pay; it's also about the company of colleagues/friends and of course the bosses.

Am thankful that so far, I have, and had, encountered the greatest bosses (most of them) that I think I could have.

Am trying to be a better superior (yeah, sometimes, I am a little grouchy and b***y as well), but believe me, am trying.

So, I'd like to share this one, and hope that we all look at ourselves and ponder on this too.

Joana

The Carrie Diaries

This is another series that I am hooked up now!

I love Carrie Bradshaw!

I love the movie versions of the "Sex and the City".

At first, I was thing that I won't like it but I ended up waiting for the next episodes.

Good thing they have this one as well on OSN.

Of course, I am still dreaming of that closet ala-Carrie Bradshaw!

Oh, I wish so!

Yes, Miranda Kerr is the new face of Mango!

The Spring Collection is great!

Would love to shop but has to save enough since we will be moving to a new house and I am currently banned on doing shopping except for the groceries though. Hehehe.

I'll just wait for their midyear sale then.

Joana
