Vera Wang's Wedding App
Are you like me who loves weddings?
Not only the ceremony itself: the preparation, the cute stuffs, flowers, photos, pre-nup and wedding videos, and of course, the wedding dress!
I had downloaded Vera Wang's App via Apple Store and it's so cool.
I chose my top three from each of the categories.
Feast your eyes on her timeless wedding dress collections, bridal bouquets, etc.

Taylor Swift for Cover Girl
I've purchased an electronic copy of Harper's Bazaar and I've seen Taylor Swift's ad for Cover Girl.
She's so pretty and I love the color palette.
Since it's Ramadan, malls are closing at mid-day and open again after almost dinner.
Hmmm...I am wondering, when can I have these checked out?

Ramadan Kareem
Today is the first day of Ramadan.
We are into the Holy Month for prayer and fasting of our Muslim brothers and sisters.
During Ramadan, we only work for 5 to 6 hours.
We are also cooking and preparing food almost every day during this time of the year.
It is also the time when we see old friends and catch up since we have lots of spare time.
May this Ramadan bless us all, Muslims or not alike.

Joana

See you soon, Mang Dolphy!
I had cried buckets and buckets of tears.
Yes, I did. I am such a cry baby.
I cannot help it every time I am watching the news about his death and the speeches delivered by his family, friends and acquaintances.
He is such a humble man, I can say.
I had grown up watching his sitcom, "Home Along da Riles" for years!
Thank you Mang Dolphy for making us laugh!
You will be missed!

Doha City Center is Now Open!
Yay!
I am so happy.
Not because, I am such a shopaholic but it's just right that they were able to open the mall before Ramadan.
Most of the people would go and shop for their stuffs before the said occasion which will be in a few days!
Another yay!

Penshoppe's Really About All-Stars
I've been really ecstatic when I learned that Ian Somerhalder will be one of the endorsers of Penshoppe.
Isn't he cute, or shall I say H-O-T?
What I've noticed is that Penshoppe had really gone the miles of having new faces for the brand.
These new faces are simply stunning!

Loafers
Since 2 of the major malls (City Center and Villaggio) are still closed due to inspections because of a recent fire, I've been going to the Al Mana Towers and Royal Plaza instead to catch up with some friends.
Believe me, in this kind of weather which is more than 40 degrees most of the time, we would spend time in the malls but right now, we don't have much of a choice but to stay home.
The opened malls are jam-packed; what more in the coming days since Ramadan is only a few days ahead.
My wallet is safer too because I was not able to go and shop, not even window shopping.
However, there was one instance when I dropped by the bank and saw this pair of Loafers which I am loving now.
It's so comfy!
I was wondering why these were called "Loafers" and thanks to Google.
These were originally known as "Slip-Ons" wherein you don't have to tie a lace and just simply slip it on.
Most of the designs are with tassels or metal accessories but now, they are back.
And they are back with different colors and designs too!
I've seen these rainbow of loafers by Manolo.
And these are from Toms!
If I'll see another cool design, I would love to get a pair still!
Forgive the girl who can't have enough shoes!
P.S.

Drive-Thru + Singing
I've seen this video from the re-run of "Ellen" and it was amazing.
If I have such a beautiful voice, I will always sing.
For now, I can only sing in the bathroom. Haha!

Breakfast is a Must
I was so horrified when I checked my weight yesterday.
I am underweight and need to gain at least 5 kilos and when I checked the weighing scale...what the...! 40 kilos!?!
I even dropped 2 more kilos. Sigh.
It was last year when I had even enrolled in a gym and do all of these exercises to help me gain muscles but nothing happened.
I am currently in search of a nutritionist who could possibly help me to gain my desired weight.
Starting today, I will have to eat at least 3 times a day, no coffee, no tea, no junk foods.
Eating breakfast is also a must and this is what I had today.
Wish me luck!

Goodies from the Philippines
My cousin had just returned to Doha from an almost a month's vacation in the Philippines.
I am so thankful as she was able to bring me some stuffs from my Mom as she lives near our place too!
These are the things I had received and that even made me more excited to go home for a vacation next year!
It's been almost 3 years since I had eaten this one.
It's basically made from "Malagkit" (glutinous rice) mixed with drops of Lihiya (a syrup that makes it somehow green).
These are wrapped in banana leaves and then cooked in a big pot of boiling water.
The syrup is made from muscovado sugar and coconut milk.
Salted eggs are also amongst my favorite.
I usually slice tomatoes and onions and eat it with rice.
And the ever famous Polvoron from Goldilocks!
I love to eat this one with fried rice and sunny side up eggs.
Wheeeeww!
I always leave the windows open and spray lots of air freshener, if not, our neighbors would knock our doors and complain about the smell - unfortunately, they hate the smell.
It's basically corn -the flavored ones.
Enough to satisfy my salty cravings.
