Live One Day At A Time

After months, finally, I got another Saturday off.

We normally have Fridays only.

I've accomplished a lot during these two days however there are things that have to be attended to still.

We have to start cleaning up as we will be moving houses by the end of next month and also, we haven't found any place yet.

I am pretty sure that we can find one that is nearer to our work place.

Will be going for leave early May as well.

With all of these busy things going on, it is important that we still appreciate life, each day, as it is.

I am trying to pause for awhile and have a break at work.

Staring at the PC for hours is very draining.

To be honest, I may not be the most positive/optimistic person though am trying my best to be one.

With all of the things going on: dropping oil prices, cost of living going up, the situation in Syria, Hubby and I are thinking of settling down somewhere for good.

However, until such time that we find another opportunity, we'll have to stick it up here.

Appreciate the jobs and the financial capability that goes with it, the life that we currently have.

Imagine, I used to have USD 500 as my monthly salary when I came here in Doha.

That time, everything else was still cheap. We don't have to worry about the rent, electricity bills and all since we have a company provided accommodation. Transportation was also provided.

Well, we've come along way and we are grateful for the opportunities that we are having at the moment.

Like how the old saying goes, Your life can change in an instant so I'll stop worrying and overthinking about things.

Great things are on their way, Inshallah!

Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask

I've been meaning to try Clinique products and it was just my lucky day when this Even Better Mask is available in the Qatar Airways Duty Free Staff Shop.

This was just at QR 160 and from the first use, I am totally in love with it.

I normally have dark circles under my eyes and they had noticeably lightened up.

My skin became supple too and got that glow.

It has to be used 3 to 4 times a week, so am using it every other day.

Am applying it and leaving for 10 to 20 minutes them I simply tissue it off before going to bed.

Try it and for sure you will not regret it.

Work Hard. Dream Big.

One early morning, when I reached the office, I found my new notebook/planner from the company.

I opened the first page and it says "Work Hard; Dream Big" and am loving it!

This year's our year. My husband and I had planned some things and we are positively looking forward to it.

Mango Loot

Hola!

What were you up to?

Come to think of it, we are already halfway the month of February! Whoa!

It was Qatar National Sports Day last Tuesday and we did not even leave the house.

I've got some unfinished household chores so that was the only chance that I got to have them all done - so glad that I had them completed and got a little siesta time still :)

Last week, I was able to visit Mango Shop at Villaggio to grab some office blouses and I got home with some fab items at very good prices!

Their sale was still on.

They had renovated their shop and now have a second level though I had a hard time finding something that would fit me.

My size is S/XS that's why most of the time I order them online but this time Hubby had been so kind to go with me.

Anyways, I've gone home with 2 tops. Zara's shop is just opposite Mango's and it's currently under renovation.

I'll be back next month to grab some office trousers since we have the No Jeans Policy now. Awww.

Lipstick from Dior, Got it for Qr 60 from the Qatar Airways Duty Free Staff Shop; Lipstick Wallet Mango, Qr 49; Nina Garcia's The One Hundred from Amazon

DIY Facial Scrub

Have you tried doing your own facial scrub?
My Hubby and I had been in search of Baking Soda only to find out that Bicarbonate of Soda will do the trick.
I’ve read in numerous articles on the web that it helps to get rid of stubborn blackheads and whiteheads so I’ve decided to give a shot.
And the result? Am loving it!
At first, I mixed up the Bicarbonate of Soda, some honey and olive oil.
I also made one using coffee, sugar and olive oil.
Good thing, I’ve kept my empty facial cream jars.
This time, I’ve replaced the olive oil with virgin coconut oil and the result is fabulous as well.
Any thoughts of doing one anytime soon?

Loving L'occitane

And I am still on my winning streak!

I’ve won in a marvelous giveaway in Chiara’s blog/Facebook page!

To make things even better is that I am also a big fan of L’Occitane. I remembered when I first came here and got too much rashes because of the dust, it was their facial scrub that rescued me, same thing during my winter breakouts.

It smells divine when I am passing by their shop – and I don’t get out without a thing or too.

Thanks again Chiara! You can check out her cool blog here.

Butter Fever

I dropped by The Body Shop in Royal Plaza and was so happy to found these on sale!

I am a big fan of Body Butter and since the temperature here in Doha is dropping, am saying hello to dry skin.

They ones in Body Shop smells divine too. These are the ones that I haven’t tried though (got some extra ones to give to my friends/cousins).
