Bangon Pilipinas!
Am sure you've all heard about what happened to the Philippines (I'm gathering my strength as I
write this blogpost.)
write this blogpost.)
The devastation is undescribable.
The mere fact that it is the strongest storm that has ever hit the world, what else can we expect.
Children, women, babies, house pets, livestocks, livelihood, houses, ships, planes, roads, name it and
it's all gone, dead, ravaged.
it's all gone, dead, ravaged.
I had spoken to some acquaintances who had lost their houses but thanks God, their families are safe.
My tears are always racing down my cheeks every single time I watch the news.
A father who had lost his whole family...
A child who had lost his parents...
A parent who is still searching for her kids...
An old man who had survived the storm but died of hunger...
So heartbreaking...
I know it's God's will, and as always, he isn't giving us what we cannot bear.
We are not alone as the whole world is with us.
It's very heart warming receiving all of these donations: in cash, in kind, assistance from all parts of
world; thesse came pouring in to help us get back on our feet.
Even the Filipinos who are living/working abroad are also finding ways to lend a helping hand.
world; thesse came pouring in to help us get back on our feet.
Even the Filipinos who are living/working abroad are also finding ways to lend a helping hand.
I am just hoping that these will really be given to those who are in dire need.
Every single day, I am including those who had perished and those who had survived in my
prayers to be well and healed.
prayers to be well and healed.
Filipinos can shake this one off like what we have done before; like what we always do.
It may not be that fast but I know we'll get through this one too!

Logos Hope
Aww, this is a long due post.
I wasn’t able to go when this “famous ship” with the books
was here some time ago.
I am not quite sure if it’s the same ship or what.
At last, my friends and I made our way to Doha Port
at around 4 PM.
The line is already quite long but bearable.
We got the tickets for Qr 2 each and has to present our Qatar
IDs for verification.
Our bags were also scanned for security purposes.
We waited for a few minutes for the buses to come as we are
not allowed to go inside the port on
private vehicles.
The bus ride is cool, it’s my first time to actually ride one
here in Doha!
There is a police convoy while we headed to the port.
The ship is enormous!
Can you believe that all the staff/crew of the ship are
volunteers for at least 1 or 2 years?
They are quite warm and friendly too!
When we arrived, we were asked to watch a short presentation
about the ship, the organization, the
crews, etc.
They do have vast collections of books at very affordable
prices.
I was able the buy some new ones and got a free eco bag with
it.
They also have a space for kids who would want to play for a
while.
There’s also a cafeteria serving some snacks.
Want to see what I got?
Here they are:
I won’t mind visiting the ship again!
It’s truly a great way to encourage people to read!
For sure, they will be back.
One Fine Day at the MIA Park
It is a Friday and we were off to watch the first ever Red Bull Flug Tag in Qatar.
The crowd turn out is great.
Good thing we left our car in our friend's home and walked all the way to the park as the parking
space inside it was closed.
The weather is quite hot still and we caught the first few entries the decided to grab something to eat.
We went to the coffee shop instead and had started to relax a bit and enjoy the breeze and the view.
A pair of sunnies is a must! |
My view... |
These are cozy. |
Waffles... |
Beat the summer heat! |
Oh, then my mind wandered and dreamed that I hope I could stay a little bit longer there!
Shake Shack Attack
Shake Shack |
Hello!
Have you already tried the food at Shake Shack?
I had tried it only last Monday even if they had opened a loonggg way back!
My friends and I came in and we had chosen the one near the counter.
We were having a hard time choosing which ones to order and had finally decided and called one of the staff.
Apparently, we have to line up to the counter and will be given this cutesy little thing that will light up once our orders are ready.
Silly us! Thanks to the very helpful staff!
I enjoyed my food and loved the fries!
Yes, I am a fries person.
Waiting for it to shake lol |
Another reason to love it: nature lovers and eco-friendly. |
A glimpse on what they offer |
I finished this up! |
It's half lemon and half-tea. |
Will definitely go back there again next time.
Shake Shack is located in Villaggio Mall.
