Wagamama

Hey!

Have you been to the Lagoona Mall lately?

I was able to drop by with my friends to grab a quick and late dinner at Wagamama.

It's actually the first time that I visited that part of Lagoona Mall (yeah, I've not gone out to the malls for quite some time now!).

Their place has that Asian feel!

They do have a wide variety of dishes and at reasonable prices too!

Their food is great and the servings are quite big.

I enjoyed the food even if I was not able to finish it up!

Dine at Wagamama, Lagoona Mall.

Be ready to chow with chopsticks!
Spice it up!

Miso Soup
This is actually good for 2 persons for sharing.
They have deliveries too!

BB Creams

Apparently, I am not one of those girls with perfect, luminous skin.

I do have some dark spots, and oh, I've spotted some wrinkles in the making!

Thanks to the BB creams for covering them up.

BB creams gained their popularity in Asia.

Blemish balm/Blemish base are like tinted moisturizers.

I've been using Garnier and Body Shop's BB Creams ever since.

These do not make my skin dry or oily and has the matte finish effect.

I do put moisturizer first - yes,  I have to moisturize a lot as the weather here are extremes, then I put on a pea-size amount of the BB cream before I put on light powder.
This stays up the whole day, can you believe it!
Have you tried one yet?
Share me your story.

The Internship

This movie has become one of my feel good movies (The Devil Wears Prada, The Proposal and The

Confessions of a Shopaholic included).

One of the funniest yet mind-opening movie I've seen, if I may say.

It's a story about two friends who were recently unemployed and found their way to be Google

interns and have their chances of becoming full time employees.

I had watched this movie during the time when I was feeling so down at work (yeah...) and was

thinking of giving up.

This movie is like a wake up call for me (haha, yes, seriously).

I've come to realize things that I was able to relate in real life!

1. Be open to changes. Be prepared. Conquer the world.

My friends would know how much I complain about my work (I am trying not to now!)

Work itself is fine but there are other things that I don't have any control of.

I was always thinking of leaving my job but come to think of it, I cannot afford not to have my salary

even for one month.

In the movie, these two guys were suddenly laid off fom work and has to take chances by being

interns at Google which is way far from what they have been doing.

They were working as watch salesmen before nonetheless, they had braved the challenges and ended

up working at Google still!

2. Accept the fact that there are A***holes everywhere.

Need I say more?

There will be people who will try to pull you down, who will bury you alive.

Who cares? As long as you stay focused and do the right things, don't mind them.

Remember, eye on the prize!

3. All work and no play makes John a dull boy; All play and no work makes one a mere toy.

Have you ever felt that at times, your brain cells aren't working even how hard you try?

Yeah, welcome to the club.

Take a little rest, relax, try to divert your attention.

Do some crafts, go out with friends, drink coffee and involve yourself in worthy conversations.

4. Nobody knows you better than yourself.

I was teary eyed when Vince Vaughn was almost giving up on himself.

No matter what he does, it seems like nothing is working out right and one of their co-intern was

saying that he always has a way of making things fall apart.

He lost his job; he lost his house because he was not able to pay the dues; his wife left him too.

Hey, we know ourselves better than other people do.

Be your own cheerleader as well!

5. Be positive. It helps...a LOT!

I love how Owen Wilson stays so positive.

There was a time when these kids who were with them in the group were saying that it's like the end:

they're not winning any challenges at all; it's so hard to look for a job; etc. etc.

He said that they are still young to look at things that way.

They have a lot to be thankful for and to look forward to!

6. It's a good thing to have a "good" friend/s by your side.

A good friend is someone who doesn't see you only during your victories but during your downfalls as well.

Someone who knows your number not only if he/she needs something but says hi/hello at times.

Someone who's not there only during the time when you can give free rides, free coffees, lunch,

dinner, but also during the time when your pockets are empty.

I may not have lived long enough but I have a very good experience on this one.

Oh...

Include it in your movie list and for sure you'll like it too!

Relics...Damien Hirst

We had finally found time to drop by the Relics Exhibihition yesterday afternoon.
It was still scorching hot but at least there's the warm breeze.
Lots of visitors are coming as well and this exhibition seems interesting.

It stirred a lot of different opinions, however, it is also our chance, the residents of Qatar, both locals and expatriates alike, to see his works of art.

This is part of the Qatar UK 2013 initiative of the Qatar Museums Authority.
Photography is not allowed inside except for the mobile phones.
There is a check in counter for the cameras and water/bottled water are not allowed to be taken in.
There is a kiosk near the reception area for some memorabilia and a cafe that serves Damien Hirst inspired snacks.

Damien Hirst is "reportedly Britain's richest living artist".
The exhibition is quite interesting, lots of colors, shapes, however, I got goosebumps when I had seen

this headless cow and his head placed in seperate glass boxes.

Colorful Dots

Yes, these are real diamonds!

Cigarette Butts

And this is what I was looking for...a shark!
There are lots of artworks still but I opted not to take photos of them.

His famous works include preserved dead animals which were "dissected and preserved with formaldehyde".
Visit the exhihibition and for sure you'll be amazed/intriqued.
