The Zuri Hotel Experience - Goa, India

Welcome to Goa, India!
We had just gotten back from our trip the day before Christmas and it was amazing!

Saying that it was indeed relaxing is an understatement.

When we left Doha, it was raining so hard and it took us about an hour to reach the airport.

The flight was a little uncomfortable because of the turbulence.

We flew in with Qatar Airways and it was disappointing that they had only served fish and it is spicy.

Since we'll be in India for sure we'll be eating most of these.

When we landed in Goa, it took us time to go through Immigration as there were only 4 counters available and processing was a bit slow.

After that, we had traveled around another 30 minutes to the hotel.

We had stayed at Zuri and the place is breathless.

The hotel is located in the south which is better for us as the place is not that crowded and they do have access to the beach side as well.

The breakfast buffet is also great.

There is an egg counter wherein you can ask the chef on how you want your eggs to be cooked.

Steaming hot coffee and teas are also available the whole day.

Fresh fruits and whole variety of dishes are also there.

After the day's activities, we would go to the Waterfalls Café to enjoy the tea plus they serve it with freshly baked cookies.

The restaurant's customer service is good.

There was a time when I had ordered pasta but it was too salty for me so the chef had offered to cook another one for me which I had declined as I was already full from the fruits.

They did not bill us for that as well.

The hotel's service is excellent too.

We may be a little too demanding asking for lots of stuffs from mosquito repellants, chargers and a whole lot more but they do it quickly.

Here are some of the photos:

The Front Gate
Our "home" for the last 6 days
There are designated smoking areas.
We have to keep ourselves hydrated.
We do receive an English paper daily.
There are lots of flowers in the lobby too!
A directory for the guests.
For the hungry souls?
As expected, most of the foods are spicy.
There's a small sitting place, great for having the morning coffee.
The pool side.

The bridge.
The kiddie pool.
They do have this one in the lobby too.

Casino.
Bikes for rent.

Chess.
Maya Spa.

The massage hut.

The Beach.

Sunset at Goa.
I'll share the other activities on a separate post.

Bye for now.

Goa Bound!

Yay!

It's only a week and we'll be flying to Goa, India.

When I found out that I can take ten days vacation since I had served six months, I had checked Regency Travel and Tours' website.

They do have lots of packages and I was even thinking of going to Malaysia or Spain.

Hamude said it would be great to go to Goa as the beaches there are great too.

Our couple friends are also going for vacation and they said it would be nice to tag along.

It's just in time as our plan of going to Dubai was canceled.

Hamude had already applied for our visas and we got them as well after two days.

Our tickets and hotels are also booked.

We just need to grab some last minute stuffs like another luggage and swimwears too.

Oh, i am just so excited!

I'll share the pics once we are back!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012

Photo grabbed from Google
And yet it is another remarkable show!

With guests like Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber, plus the amazing "outfits", I can't say anything more!

I've always been a fan of Adriana Lima and Alessandra and they really are georgeous!

I hope I'll be able to watch this one live in this lifetime.

What about you, who's your bet?

Joana

Drink Arizona

Photos grabbed from Google

Here's a new thirst quencher: Arizona!

It's a wide range of cold tea drinks.

I love the Lemon one and the Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey.

At almost USD 2 and quite a big size for 2 servings, it's good enough!

I got these from Carrefour!

Try them and for sure you'll like it too!

Loving Bo Bruce!

Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce
It was last week when I was sitting like for couple of hours in front of the laptop while on You Tube.

I was checking X Factor UK's previous season and discovered Bo Bruce.

She was born as Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce and is in fact a member of one of the wealthiest   family in their country.

She happened to go to the same school as Dutchess Kate Middleton as I had read in the net.

As mentioned on her pre-audition intro, the blind auditions in the reality show, The Voice, gave her a chance to be judged based solely on her voice and music, and not on who she is.

Well, I love her voice so much...and her face somewhat reminds me of Princess Diana.

And the Winner is...Laura

This maybe long overdue but I'll have to post it anyway!

Laura won the America's Next Top Model College Edition.

Oh my, she'll have an ad campaign in Nine West, Smash Box and a whole lot more.

I won't be surprised if I'll see her in a fashion magazine years or even months from now.

Looking forward to the next season.

Joana
